Israeli air strikes destroyed two Litani River bridges Wednesday, targeting Hezbollah's alleged use of crossings. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated the action disrupts terrorist activity.
Strikes also hit central Beirut, killing at least 12. Total fatalities since March 2: 968, including 111 children.
The Litani River is the boundary set by UN Resolution 1701, prohibiting armed groups south of the river. Over one million are displaced as Israel expands strikes into central Beirut and southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah initiated the conflict by firing missiles into Israel. It has not commented on the bridge destruction.
