A barrage of Russian missile and drone strikes killed at least nine people and wounded dozens across Ukraine on Tuesday, just days after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Moscow was preparing a 'massive new strike.'
In Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported four killed and at least 58 wounded, including two children. Authorities said the attack involved ballistic missiles, cutting power and trapping residents.

In Dnipro, the attack killed five and wounded 25. In Kharkiv, ten were wounded, including a child. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone strike killed one person in Russia's Kursk region.
Russia launched a record 8,150 long-range drones at Ukraine in May, a 24 percent increase from April. Kyiv intercepted about 90 percent of incoming drones and missiles.
