Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says it would be unwise for the US and China to develop separate AI ecosystems. In an interview with CNA, Huang called for cooperation alongside competition, citing AI's potential for both good and harm.

Huang praised Taiwan's role in AI growth and TSMC founder Morris Chang, saying without them, Nvidia wouldn't exist. He confirmed Nvidia is expanding its Taiwan footprint with a larger site.

On China, Huang acknowledged the country will be "everybody's greatest rival" due to its unified market and rapid innovation. He said Nvidia is not retreating from China, despite export controls that allowed local firms like Huawei to fill the vacuum.

Huang compared AI to a "five-layer cake" and argued Nvidia's technology supports growth across all layers in China. He also reflected on leadership, driven by a fear of failure and a dream to build a lasting impact.
