Authorities in Northern Ireland have declared a security alert in Dunmurry, near Belfast, following reports of a car bomb explosion outside a police station. Homes in the vicinity have been evacuated, and the public is advised to avoid the area.

Sorcha Eastwood, a Member of Parliament representing the Langan Valley, expressed distress over the incident, noting the bomb was placed in a busy area near residential housing and businesses. "It is only through the grace of God that there are no casualties," Eastwood stated.

No motive for the attack has been released. Last month, a similar incident involved a "crude but viable" improvised bomb used in an attempted attack on another police station in Lurgan. In that case, masked men forced a delivery driver to transport the device, leading to the evacuation of approximately 100 homes.
