In response, the interior ministry announced temporary precautionary evacuations for residents in notified areas. Safe alternative accommodation has been provided. Evacuations were reported in Msheireb Downtown Doha and parts of Education City, which houses U.S. university campuses. Authorities urged reliance on official information channels.
Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a warning via social media, advising employees of major U.S. technology companies and nearby residents in Gulf cities to evacuate offices.
Qatar's preparedness measures were outlined Friday. Officials confirmed strategic stocks of essential medicines for nine months and medical supplies for up to 12 months to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services. Qatar Airways has transported nearly 300 tonnes of essential goods, including medicines and fresh food, since early March, with cargo flights continuing under authorized temporary corridors.
