Revolut, a UK-based digital banking platform, is delisting the Tether (USDT) stablecoin in August. The company notified customers it will halt USDT purchases on July 6, with full delisting scheduled for August 31.
Any remaining user holdings will be automatically converted to the local currency at the day's exchange rate. USDT deposits will stop being accepted after July 30.

Revolut cited "regulatory and risk considerations" for the move but did not specify which regulations prompted the action. The company holds a MiCA license as a crypto asset service provider, issued by Cyprus in November 2025.

This follows a broader trend in Europe where exchanges are delisting USDT. Tether has refused to comply with the EU's MiCA regulation, with CEO Paolo Ardoino criticizing its reserve requirements.
USDT is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, valued at $184 billion.
