Russia launched a rare daytime drone attack on Ukraine, killing at least three people and wounding dozens. The assault targeted the western city of Lviv, striking its historic center - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and damaging the Bernardine monastery complex.

Ukraine’s air force reported over 550 drones launched during the day, a shift from Russia’s typical nighttime strikes. Combined with overnight attacks involving hundreds more drones and 34 missiles, nearly 1,000 long-range drones were fired since Monday evening.

Lviv officials confirmed 22 wounded. A residential building was hit, and debris rained down in city streets. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the scale of the attack, stressing that without stronger international pressure, Moscow has no incentive to pursue peace.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, a national guard soldier and his 15-year-old daughter were killed. In Vinnytsia, one person died and 13 were injured. Air defenses remained active near Kyiv, while energy facilities in Ternopil were struck.

Zelenskyy reported damage across 11 regions and renewed his call for allied air defense munitions, warning of shortages amid U.S. focus on the Middle East.
