Six people died and five were injured in a bus fire in Kerzers, Fribourg, on Tuesday. Three of the injured are in critical condition, including a paramedic and four passengers.

Fribourg Canton police stated that an intentional act is the most likely cause, but there is currently no evidence of a terror attack. Videos circulating on social media showed intense flames and heavy smoke.

An investigation is underway to determine if a passenger started the fire. This incident follows a major fire at a bar in Crans-Montana on New Year's Day that killed 41 people.

Swiss President Guy Parmelin expressed shock and sadness, offering condolences to the victims' families and support to the injured and emergency services. The bus was a PostBus, a common mode of transport in rural Switzerland.
