Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Scoot have extended flight cancellations to the Middle East due to the ongoing geopolitical situation. SIA flights SQ494 (Singapore-Dubai) and SQ495 (Dubai-Singapore) are now cancelled until March 28. Low-cost carrier Scoot has cancelled flights TR596 (Singapore-Jeddah) and TR597 (Jeddah-Singapore) until March 17. SIA stated that other flights may be affected as the situation remains fluid.
Affected passengers can be re-accommodated on alternative flights or receive a full refund. Other airlines, including Cathay Pacific, British Airways, and Lufthansa, have also reported cancellations or suspensions to various Middle Eastern destinations.
Despite global markets showing some optimism, intense airstrikes have continued in the region.
