Two teenage gunmen opened fire Monday at the Islamic Center of San Diego in California, killing three men outside the mosque, including a security guard. The suspects, ages 17 and 19, were later found dead in a vehicle from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
The shooting erupted shortly before noon local time. All children at a day school on the complex were accounted for and safe, according to Police Chief Scott Wahl.
The FBI is assisting in what is being investigated as a possible hate crime. A separate shooting at a landscaper blocks away was also reported, though no connection has been confirmed.
