Turkish police have ordered the arrest of 83 individuals accused of online activities praising two deadly school shootings this week. Authorities stated the individuals were found to be "praising crime and criminals and negatively affecting public order." Access to 940 social media accounts has been blocked, and 93 Telegram groups have been shut down.

In Kahramanmaras, southern Turkey, a shooting at Ayser Calik Secondary School resulted in the deaths of at least eight students and one teacher, with 13 others wounded. The 14-year-old attacker was also killed. Digital evidence suggests the suspect had planned the attack, referencing US mass killer Elliot Rodger.
