President Donald Trump announced the U.S. is nearing completion of its mission in Iran and expects to withdraw within two to three weeks.
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump stated, “We’re finishing the job... We want to knock out every single thing they have.” He emphasized that the primary objective-ending Iran’s nuclear threat-has been achieved.
The conflict escalated after joint U.S.-Israeli strikes in February triggered an Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite ongoing tensions, Trump indicated he may end operations even if the strait remains largely closed.
This marks a significant shift in the administration’s approach to Middle East military engagement, focusing on rapid de-escalation following targeted objectives.
