The United States is reinforcing its military presence in the Middle East, deploying additional Marines and ships to the region.

The USS Tripoli amphibious assault ship, carrying approximately 2,500 Marines and sailors, is en route to the area. This deployment, approved by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth at the request of US Central Command, is intended to support ongoing operations.

This move comes as regional tensions persist, with established Marine units already present to support operations.
