Yiu Xin Yin founded The Moxie Collective in Singapore after experiencing systemic insensitivity while reporting image-based sexual abuse. Launched in December 2023 with co-founder Raag Sudha Sanjay, the organization fills a critical gap by offering community solace where institutional reporting often fails.

Image-based sexual abuse encompasses non-consensual creation or distribution of sexual imagery, including deepfakes and voyeurism. Survivors frequently encounter fragmented reporting processes across police, universities, and workplaces that force them to repeatedly recount traumatic events without adequate support.

The collective operates monthly meetups featuring wellness sessions and trauma-informed discussions for women aged twenty to thirty-nine. Unlike clinical therapy, this peer-led model addresses the unique isolation of digital violence where victims face perpetual anxiety over resurfacing content.

Advocates emphasize that digital violations constitute human rights breaches rather than mere content disputes. The group presented their framework at the Association of Women for Action and Research conference, pushing for coordinated institutional responses that prioritize survivor dignity over bureaucratic procedure.
