Looking to upgrade to a modern tablet or pick up a cheap one designed for kids? Good news because Amazon has the Fire tablets on offer with their ongoing Labor Day deals. This includes some tablets being discounted by more than 40%. While it's not the lowest cost we've ever seen, many are extremely close and the cheapest since the Fourth of July.

One of the standouts is a 46% discount on the Fire HD 8 Plus, with that price coming down to $65 -- a $55 discount. With the Fire HD 8 Plus, you get all of the features of the Fire HD 8 such as an 8-inch screen, 13 hours of battery life, Alexa-enabled video calling and access to books, music and all of your favorite streaming services, plus 3GB of RAM, more cameras and wireless charging in a lighter, thinner design.

The Amazon Fire HD Kids Pro is currently 40% off, with that price dropping from $150 to $90. You get 2GB of RAM, 13 hours of battery life along with 1 year of age-appropriate Amazon Kids+ conten, all in a slim kid-friendly case.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

If you're looking for a bigger screen, the Fire HD 10 is currently discounted by 36%. That means you can nab one for $90, a $50 savings. The Fire HD 10 features a 10-inch screen, 1080p HD display and 13 hours of battery so you can access your favorite apps from just about anywhere. There's a front-facing camera to allow for easy video calling or content creation on apps. It's compatible with the Made for Amazon Stylus Pen which allows you to write and draw directly on the tablet using apps like OneNote.
