Arsenal vs PSG - Champions League: Live score, team news and updates

Breaking:PSG team news: Luis Enrique names youthful side for Emirates visit

The French giants have gone for youth over experience for their trip to north London, as Ousmane Dembele misses out on the matchday squad.

The front three consists of Desire Doue, Kang-In Lee, Bradley Barcola - who have just a handful of Champions League appearances between them.

Breaking:Arsenal team news: Gunners go for unchanged side after Leicester victory

Mikel Arteta has opted to go with the same XI that secured that dramatic comeback win against Leicester just three days ago.

However, a welcome change to the matchday squad is the addition of Mikel Merino on the bench.

The Spaniard is yet to make an appearance for the Gunners since making his £33million move from Real Sociedad this summer.

The scene is set in north London

There's a reason Arsenal fans call their pitch 'The Carpet' - just look at how good it looks!

Despite the heavy rain throughout this afternoon, the Emirates is in pristine condition ahead of tonight's thrilling affair.

The scene is set, now we all need are the players. Team news coming shortly...

Meanwhile, City can make history in Slovakia...

While our main focus is going to be on Arsenal tonight, we'll still have updates coming through from Man City's clash against Slovan Bratislava.

Should they win this evening, Pep Guardiola's side will match the record - held by Man United - for the longest unbeaten run in the competition.

From 2007-2009, the Red Devils failed to lose a game and, given all goes well tonight, Man City will equal that incredible run.

No pressure though, right?

Is an Arsenal debut on the cards?

It's been no secret that Arsenal have been plagued by injuries in the opening weeks of the 2024-25 campaign.

Among those to have been sidelined is £33m summer signing Mikel Merino - who is yet to play a single minute for the Gunners.

However, that could all change tonight as the Euro 2024 winner was spotted with the Arsenal squad on Tuesday afternoon.

Though the likelihood of him starting is slim, there's a strong chance we'll see a cameo from the Spaniard off the bench.

WATCH: PSG Ultras take over north London

If you live in the Highbury & Islington area, you've probably heard the PSG Ultras chanting all afternoon.

Videos circulating on social media show the supporters group marching through Highbury Fields prior to kick-off, equipped with flares and flags.

The scenes that ensued when they visited Newcastle last season were quite worrying, so let's hope for none of that this evening!

PSG drop Dembele after manager row

It's not often that your best player is dropped prior to a monumental Champions League night.

However, that's exactly what has happened to PSG star Ousmane Dembele.

The France international - who has seven goal contributions from six Ligue 1 games - has been omitted from the squad due to a falling out with manager Luis Enrique.

In explaining why Dembele is not in the squad, Enrique said: ‘If someone doesn’t comply or respect the expectations of the team, it means they are not prepared to play'.

Gunners on a rocky European run

While Mikel Arteta's side may be flying in the Premier League, their form in the Champions League has left a lot to be desired in 2024.

The Gunners have picked up just one win in their last six Champions League fixtures and kick-started this campaign with a 1-1 draw against Atalanta.

Could tonight be the night that they put their rocky European run to an end? Only time will tell.
