Barcelona reveal stunning new images of re-designed Nou Camp

Spanish giants Barcelona have shared brand new pictures of their re-designed Nou Camp stadium as they announced aims to move back before the end of the season.

After winning the LaLiga title in June 2023, the Catalan giants started work on their world-famous stadium as part of a £1.25billion renovation project to increase its capacity to 105,000.

They've since been playing their matches at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys as they eyed a potential return to the Nou Camp for the club's 125th anniversary on November 29.

However, a statement released by the club has confirmed that the move-in date will be postponed as they now target a return in the second half of the season.

Barcelona vice-president Elena Fort said: 'There are no exact dates to return to the stadium. We can't say right now, but we are on the correct path.

She added: 'The city council knows our full plan. We are following all the safety protocols and we've received the green light from several institutions.

'Now we'll need to make rapid work to get the license back to reopening the stadium and execute everything.'

Along with an update over their return, the Blaugranas shared new images of their iconic ground, showing the significant changes to the stadium.

The future Nou Camp includes an aerial viewing platform to attract football fans and tourists, making it one of the most remarkable features of the stadium.

Additionally, the new venue will have the largest stadium roof in Europe.

The images give a glimpse of what Barcelona players, such as Lamine Yamal or Dani Olmo, will see when they will make their first steps onto the field.

Fans will enjoy a completely new view and experience of Blaugrana's games, as the modern Nou Camp will feature three big screens aimed to enhance the experience of sporting enjoyment.

The stadium will reportedly use green energy sources through 18,000m2 of solar panels, producing its own energy and generating zero CO2 emissions.

Back in August, on the club's website, Barcelona said it will be a 'venue worthy of the world's best team.'

'A new space for continued success. Opening up to the neighbourhood and the city, ensuring comfort for members, generating new revenue streams for the club, and increasing its international visibility. A space where everything is possible', communicated Barca to their supporters.

'A space to experience new ways of enjoying sports and entertainment. A driving force for the city and a home for Barça fans. At the forefront of technology and sustainability. Committing to equality and recognising all sections, while protecting the legacy and the heart of a feeling.'
