With more and more devices switching over to a USB-C port, there are tons of benefits to getting a monitor that utilizes a USB-C connection. You won't need to dish out more coin for an adapter or a docking hub. These monitors also support high-speed transfers. The set up process is fairly simple, too. For anyone looking to set up their workspace with a desktop computer, a USB-C monitor makes for a perfect companion. We went ahead and found some of the best deals on the market right now.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

In terms of resolution, we recommend at least full HD (1,920 by 1,080 pixels) for a 24-inch display; quad HD (2,560 by 1,440 pixels) for a 27-inch display and Ultra HD (aka 4K; 3,840 by 2,160 pixels) for anything 32 inches or larger.

We'd also suggest that you look out for a monitor's maximum brightness rating, which typically range from 250 to 500 nits. Lower-end monitors are usually rated at 250 or 300 nits, which will likely suffice for a dark den or basement. For a sun-drenched office, though, you'll want something that's rated for 350 nits or higher. For more on that, check out our monitor buying guide before choosing your new monitor.

Samsung/CNET

This model was our editors' top pick in our list of the best monitors under $200. If you're hoping to do some gaming, this one has a leg up with better color quality and higher refresh than those near the same price.

Dell/CNET

This monitor from Dell has an integrated hub with two USB-C and five Type-A ports to accommodate all of your accessories. It has high contrast and 3,840 by 2,160-pixel resolution, giving you picture quality that might be better than that old TV you keep meaning to upgrade.

Crua/CNET

This 30-inch ultrawide monitor gives you 2K resolution, a 100Hz refresh rate and a screen resolution of 21:9. Not bad for 40% off. And if it's your first time shopping at Newegg, you can score an extra $7 off the already discounted price, just use code NEPLS40DXA73.

Dell/CNET

This 27-inch 4K Dell model with an LED screen has just dropped in price by $80 at Best Buy. It has integrated speakers, a platinum silver finish and a 60Hz refresh rate that makes it serviceable for video games.
