Bournemouth 1-1 Newcastle: Anthony Gordon rescues a point for visitors

Bournemouth were denied a late winning goal as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Sunday.

After a bright start from the visitors, Bournemouth took control of the game midway through the first half and deservedly went ahead in the 37th minute when Marcus Tavernier tapped home Antoine Semenyo's cross.

The Magpies improved after the break and levelled with just under 15 minutes left on the clock as Anthony Gordon poked home following fine work from Harvey Barnes. Bournemouth thought they'd scored a 93rd-minute winner, but Dango Ouatarra's effort was ruled out for handball.
