Chelsea fans are left in awe as Jadon Sancho trains for the first time

Chelsea fans have been left in awe after the Blues shared a clip of Jadon Sancho training with the club for the first time.

Sancho completed a move to Chelsea on deadline day, joining the club on an initial loan deal which could become permanent at the end of the season. He had been frozen out at Manchester United last season following a public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Their dispute led to Sancho returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign, though he had been welcomed back by Ten Hag in pre-season after clearing the air with the United manager.

Now, though, he has returned to London, where he grew up, to sign as a Chelsea player, and seems to have been enjoying his first days as a Blues player.

And in his first training session as a Blues player, the 24-year-old was seen firing in some impressive efforts, and left fans excited for what he could bring to the club.

Chelsea fans have been left in awe on the back of a clip of Jadon Sancho's first training session

The forward has been in training with the Blues following his deadline day move from Manchester United

The clip showed Sancho completing a number of passing and shooting drills in the session

'You can tell from the shooting practice that Sancho came prepared,' one fan posted in response to the video on X, formerly Twitter.

'He's going to make a huge impact on the team,' another wrote.

A third posted: 'Let's go, star boy.'

The clips started with the England man getting ready for the training session, before taking to the practice pitches alongside his team-mates.

He was then seen completing some passing drills, joking with his team-mates before the clip cut to a shooting practice.

Sancho could be seen curling a number of efforts into the goal, and the clip then cut to a conversation with Enzo Maresca.

Much had been made of Ten Hag's relationship with Ten Hag after he criticised his manager publicly, though Sancho has been full of praise of his new boss, revealing that he was the main reason why he chose to join Chelsea.

'I think it's the manager,' he said, explaining why he swapped clubs. 'I knew him from when I was at Manchester City and when he was with Pep [Guardiola].

'He spoke to me on the phone about his project and what he was building here and, for a young player like myself, it's exciting.

'They are signing me for a reason. I think it is his style of play, the wingers. When they get on the ball, he loves them to go 1v1 and be direct. They play a lot of one-twos with the 10s and striker, so it's very attractive.'

Fans on social media have predicted that the 24-year-old will have a big impact on Chelsea

He was also seen deep in conversation with Enzo Maresca and was full of praise for his new manager in his first interview with the club

Sancho had previosuly fallen out with Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United and left the club on loan last season

Sancho, meanwhile, revealed that two Chelsea legends were his idols growing up in his first interview as a Blues player.

'Chelsea is iconic,' he said. 'My idols growing up were Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard.

'Now I have the opportunity to play for this club, it's a great feeling. It's going to be nice.'
