Cristiano Ronaldo andGeorgina Rodriguez are SPLIT over retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo has given fans a major hint as to where he might choose to retire after his career on the pitch comes to an end.

The 39-year-old has shown few signs of slowing down in recent weeks, scoring his 900th goalwhile on international duty for Portugal.

The 39-year-old was the first player to achieve the landmark tally with his strike against Croatia in Nations League action, and days later Ronaldo chased the achievement with a late goal off the bench against Scotland.

Currently plying his trade at club level with Saudi Pro League Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has shared his desire to score at least 99 more before he calls time on his heavily decorated career.

But when he does so, there could be some domestic conflict over where he choose to settle with his partner of eight years, Georgina Rodriguez.

Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped a major hint over where he seems himself living in 10 years

The striker and his partner Georgina have been based in Saudi Arabia for nearly two years

Their family are used to jet-setting between glamorous locales including Spain, Portugal, and the French Riviera - but it appears the couple may be split on where to spend retirement

The couple appeared together on a recent episode of CR7's new YouTube channel, UR, and their difference of opinion over where their family should be based became evident in a game of 'Mr and Mrs'.

When asked to guess where her partner would like to live in 10 years time, the model and influencer suggested that he was interested in splitting his time between 'Saudi and Portugal'.

Ronaldo, by contrast, was emphatic that Rodriguez was keen to move back to Madrid, the city where the pair met during his time at Real Madrid.

Revealing their answers to one another, it became clear that both of them had guessed correctly - but the pair offered no further information on which one of them was going to their way.

Since his move to Al-Nassr at the start of 2023, Ronaldo has put down strong roots in the Kingdom and become an avatar for Saudi football.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez guessed their partner's respective wishes correctly in 'Mr and Mrs'

In a September interview with Arabic outlet Al Arabiya, the forward called his new home 'a lovely country' and insisted that he 'loves to be there'.

But the player keeps deep ties with his home country, owning a number of properties in Portugal as well as the island of his birth, Madeira.

While Ronaldo and Rodriguez may yet continue to debate where they settle over the next 10 years, retirement remains one of the furthest thoughts from his mind.

Speaking after making history against Croatia, Ronaldo was confident that he has much more to achievein his career before hanging up his boots.

'Only me and the people around me know how difficult it is to work daily to be physically and psychologically well and reach goal 900,' Ronaldo said of his historic strike - the first amid a goal drought that had seen him go without since June.

The couple have been together since the summer of 2016, when they met in Spain's capital

Ronaldo achieved a career landmark last week when he scored his 900th goal for Portugal

'It's a unique milestone in my career and it was with a lot of emotion I celebrated that goal. It represents a lot.

'It was the number I wanted to achieve for a long time and I knew I would achieve it because, as I continue to play, it would happen naturally.

'I already won two trophies for Portugal, something I really wanted. Whatever comes next is spectacular.'

He added: 'I dreamed of this and I have more dreams.'
