Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that a Manchester United star must improve under the guidance of new assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Former United striker Berbatov believes that the player can benefit immensely from the guidance of van Nistelrooy, who scored 150 goals for United between 2001 and 2006.
Berbatov feels that van Nistelrooy's vast experience will be of great benefit to the current United star.
According to Berbatov, the player should look to ask van Nistelrooy lots of questions in a bid to improve.
Former PSV boss van Nistelrooy recently returned to United as part of Erik ten Hag's coaching staff.
Dimitar Berbatov has told a current Manchester United star that he has to improve
Berbatov believes that Rasmus Hojlund can benefit immensely from van Nistelrooy's guidance.
Berbatov told Futbin.com: ‘If you don’t take this opportunity to learn from one of the best who used to score goals for fun, you’re wasting your time.
‘Speak to Ruud, ask questions, visit his home if you have to, be respectful, listen to him, learn, ask questions and try to add that to your game.
Asked how Hojlund can improve, Berbatov said: ‘Hojlund’s goal ratio must improve. He should be better and I think he can be better.
‘He can do better but it comes down to concentration levels. Keeping his concentration levels high throughout all the games because he had good goal scoring opportunities and didn’t score them.
‘So this is the moment where he has to work even harder which won’t be easy but it’ll be beneficial.’
Hojlund has scored 16 goals in 43 appearances since he joined United from Atalanta for £72million last year.
At the age of 21, the Denmark international still has much time on his side in which to develop further.
Hojlund missed United's opening Premier League game of the season against Fulham due to a hamstring injury.
