Fabregas 'may be EVICTED from luxury Swiss flat over £30,000 unpaid'

Cesc Fabregas and his family are reportedly at risk of eviction from their luxury Swiss apartment due to owing £30,000 in arrears to the landlord.

The Spaniard has allegedly been silent amid the landlord's repeated warnings and is being taken to court over CHF34,000 unpaid in rent and bills.

It marks an alarming episode for Fabregas, who is the manager of new Serie A side Como over the border and sitting in the relegation zone after four games.

He, his family, and his cats - now at threat of being homeless - are staying in a lakeside apartment in the town of Bissone, which is around a 40-minute drive from Como.

The landlord has filed an eviction request and the case has ended up in the district court, with the judge's decision imminent in the next few days, according to Italian outlet LiberaTV.

Cesc Fabregas and his family could be evicted from their apartment after a reported failure to pay £30,000 in rent and bills

If Fabregas is found guilty, the police will have the power to chuck Fabregas, his wife Daniella Semaan, and their five kids - Maria, Joseph, Lia, Capri and Leonardo - out of the property.

LiberaTV claims to have seen bills and notices provided to Fabregas.

However, Fabregas' lawyer insists he has paid his bills. 'All the rent payments until now have been made in full,' they said.

'Some were not made on time, as there were numerous faults and problems with the building.'

Fabregas and Daniella have posted numerous photos from the balcony of their apartment, which overlooks Lake Lugano.

Over the summer the Arsenal and Chelsea legend was appointed as Como's manager, having served as assistant during their promotion from Serie B last season.

Their season has got off to a rocky start despite the fact they recruited Raphael Varane, Pepe Reina, Sergi Roberto, Alberto Moreno, and Andrea Belotti over the summer.

They suffered a 3-0 defeat by Juventus on the opening day and have also lost 1-0 at Udinese, while registering draws against Cagliari and Bologna.

Como were also knocked out of the first round of the Italian Cup by Serie B's bottom club Sampdoria on penalties.

Mail Sport has contacted Fabregas' representatives for comment.
