Fans are stunned as Man United goalkeeper Onana produces double save

Fans were full of praise for Andre Onana after the Manchester United goalkeeper produced a superb double save against Crystal Palace.

Onana initially made a good stop to keep out Eddie Nketiah's effort and then followed that up by thwarting Ismaila Starr in impressive fashion.

During his time at United Onana has received some criticism, but the 28-year-old provided a reminder of his ability.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya was widely praised for making a double save against Atalanta in the Champions League this week as he kept out Mateo Retegui's penalty and subsequent effort.

However, Sky Sports commentator Alan Smith believes that Onana's double save was of an even higher standard.

Smith said: 'People were taking about Raya's double save this week. I think this is even better! The second one is incredible.'

Renowned United fan Mark Goldbridge praised Onana as he wrote: 'World class double save by Onana'.

Meanwhile, Aidan Walsh wrote: 'Onana, oh my god. World class double save'.

Utd Faithfuls added: 'ONANA WITH A BRILLIANT DOUBLE SAVE TO PREVENT US FROM CONCEDING!'.

Furthermore, United Zone wrote: 'What a double save from Onana!'.

More fans complimented Onana, with one writing 'Incredible from Onana' and another adding: 'Onana has been immense for United today'.

Another fan wrote: 'I’ve criticised Onana so it’s only fair to say that was fantastic goalkeeping.'

In addition, another fan commented that it was a 'Man of the match performance from Onana', with another describing the goalkeeper as 'a saviour'.
