Former Premier League goalkeeper to 'terminate contract with Juventus'

Wojciech Szczesny has reportedly reached a mutual agreement with Juventus to terminate his contract and become a free agent.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted on X: 'Juventus and Wojciech Szczesny have now reached mutual agreement to terminate the contract with immediate effect.

'Paperwork being prepared and checked; if all good, Szczesny leaves Juventus getting an important pay-out fee.'

The goalkeeper is no longer a part of the club's plans following the arrival of new manager Thiago Motta.

Calciomercato.com and Tuttosport have also suggested that the Pole and his family are so content in Turin that that he may consider calling time on his career.

Szczesny joined Arsenal as a youth player in 2006 and went on to make 181 appearances for the Gunners.

He spent two years on loan at Roma before ending his time at Arsenal to sign for Juventus.

He has played 252 times for the Italian side in his seven seasons at the club, winning the league title on three occasions and collected five cup medals in his time in Turin.

The shot-stopper has also been a mainstay for Poland's national team over the years, earning 84 international caps, and he played at Euro 2024 earlier this summer.

Szczesny has been linked with a move to Al-Nassr, where he could be reunited with his former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
