Bournemouth have announced the loan signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spaniard, who joined the club for £71m in 2018 - the world record price for a goalkeeper - has been out-of-favour at the Blues over the past few seasons.
For the 2024-25 campaign, he will spend it at the Vitality Stadium after agreeing to join Bournemouth on a season-long loan.
Chelsea have also signed the 29-year-old to a one-year contract extension until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The Spaniard has signed a one-year extension at Chelsea to prevent him leaving on a free transfer next year
His deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, and his new contract will prevent the Blues from losing him on a free transfer.
This summer he has been part of manager Enzo Maresca's 'bomb squad' along with 12 other players who are believed to have no future at Stamford Bridge - including Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.
AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: 'We are delighted to bring a player of Kepa's calibre to AFC Bournemouth.
'We were aware of his availability and were keen to take the opportunity to bring him to the club on loan.
We believe he will be an exciting addition to our talented goalkeeping department.'
Kepa made 20 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid last season.
Since joining Chelsea from boyhood club Athletic Bilbao, the goalkeeper has made 163 appearances for the Blues.
At Bournemouth, Arrizabalaga will provide competition for club captain and current No 1 Neto for Andoni Iraola's side.
The Cherries have opened the season with two draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
