Liverpool cult hero puts stunning $7m Australian home on the market

A former Liverpool star has put his stunning five-bedroom Australian mansion on sale, with offers starting at $7million (£3.65million).

The Australian originally bought the luxury home back in 2020 for a cool $3.9m (£2.04m) and is now set to make a profit of around $3.1m, having renovated the property with his partner.

The property spans over 1,400 square metres and has its own private mineral pool, a stone bar, wine display and an outdoor spa.

The home is situated on the highly sought-after Duncraig Road in the riverside suburb of Perth.

Prospective owners will be greeted by modern and elegant interiors, with the home boasting a stunning kitchen, a cosy living room and a grand master bedroom, that has its own his-and-hers dressing room. The property also offers views across the Heathcote Reserve which overlooks the Swan River.

For the past four years, the property has been owned by former Liverpool star Brad Jones and his wife Dani.

Jones, who played for multiple teams across the United Kingdom and Australia during a 23-year career, announced his retirement in 2023.

The shot-stopper was forced to retire after he sustained a serious knee injury that prevented him from playing for Perth for over a year.

Jones, a former Socceroo, began his professional footballing journey graduating from Middlesbrough's academy back in 2000.

He'd enjoy loan spells with Stockport, Rotherham, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday before joining Liverpool in 2010 for $4.4m (£2.3) in 2010 before going on to make 27 appearances for the club across all competitions. He would leave to join Bradford on a free transfer in 2015.

In the later years of his career, he spent time with Feyenoord winning the Eredivisie with the Dutch outfit, while also spending three years with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Jones and his wife and former model, Dani, were married in 2015 in Cheshire, and have two sons and a daughter.

They have now chosen to sell up on their luxury Perth home, with Dani, 37, stating that the home has been a 'cherished place' after moving in back in September 2021.

He'd also win six caps for Australia, before going on to hang up his boots in 2023

'It’s been a cherished space for creating memories,' Dani told The West Australian.

'We have thoroughly enjoyed the journey of transforming this home, from the renovation process to the time we’ve spent living here.'

'Though officially retired, Joe took on our home as a hand-picked project, ensuring it received his exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

'We also worked closely with MMA Interiors to achieve a look and finishes that truly suited our personal taste.'

But when asked why they are moving to pastures new, Dani said: 'We absolutely loved the challenge of finding and transforming the property and we’re now ready to take on the adventure all over again.'
