However, his cameo lasted just 16 minutes before he signalled to the bench that he needed to come off due to an injury.
The problem seemed relatively innocuous at first but Antony then fell to the turf and a stretcher was needed to remove him.
And the seriousness of the injury was made clear as the 24-year-old was pictured leaving the ground on crutches while wearing a protective boot.

Speaking after the game, Ten Hag admitted he felt sorry for the winger.
'It's really unlucky for him,' he stated. 'I feel real compassion for him, when he worked so hard in training.
'His training performances are that good that he deserved to come on. When you have to come off so quickly, that is really sad to see. Hopefully, it's not too bad, we have to wait 24 hours for what the assessment is.'
