Marcus Rashford limps off as Man United suffer pre-season injury blow

Marcus Rashfordlimped off during Manchester United's latest match in the pre-season tour in the United States in another potential blow for manager Erik ten Hag.

The Man United boss had already seen his forward options reduce ahead of the new season with Rasmus Hojlund ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Ten Hag will now be left sweating over the fitness of Rashford after he was forced off in a 3-2 friendly win over Real Betis.

The 26-year-old was brought off just after the hour mark at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

Rashford required treatment after being caught on the ankle following a heavy challenge from Sergi Altimira.

The forward, who was likely to be have been substituted moments later as part of several, was ultimately seen walking off the pitch awkwardly with physio Jordan Reece.

Rashford was seen walking straight down the tunnel after being sustaining the blow.

The 26-year-old was later seen walking unaided post-match when he signed autographs for fans outside the match.
