PSG suspend teacher at training centre 'after student allegations'

A teacher working at Paris Saint-Germain's training centre has been suspended by the club and will go on trial after allegedly inappropriately touching his students.

The unnamed individual is accused of kissing students on the neck, offering to give them massages, licking their feet and requesting them to record sex tapes.

The teenagers involved are said to have been aged between 14 and 16.

According to RMC Sport, half a dozen students testified to the 27-year-old's behaviour, which dates back to the autumn of 2023, with a parent filing a complaint.

After being placed in police custody on Monday, the teacher partially admitted to the allegations but denied kissing a young footballer on the neck.

He was placed under judicial supervision by the Versailles prosecutor's office and is currently awaiting trial for the 'corruption of minors over 15 years old'.

The hearing is scheduled for January 31.

Multiple internal reports accusing the teacher of being too close to his students were produced by PSG, according to RMC. He was given an initial warning after checks and later a suspension, but then submitted his resignation.

The man was recruited a year ago, the outlet adds, and several students reported that he went on to give them a 'kiss on the neck'. Several others alleged he asked for photos of their feet and that he offered to massage, kiss or lick them.

One teenager claimed the teacher attempted to put a hand in his tracksuit.

He also allegedly asked a number of students about their sex lives and even requested one of them to make a sex tape with his girlfriend.

The teenage footballers involved are thought to have been aged between 14 and 16

Last May, the same man was convicted by the Bobigny Court for similar allegations committed in Seine-Saint-Denis and dating back to the end of 2021.

He was given a six-month suspended prison sentence and placed on the sex offenders' register. The teacher was also banned from working with minors.

However, this conviction came after he began working at PSG's training centre.

'As soon as it was informed, the club immediately took all necessary measures,' Paris Saint-Germain told RMC in a statement.

'The part-time professor was suspended and the relevant authorities were alerted without delay, immediately taking charge of the case. Protecting the integrity of athletes has always been and remains an absolute priority for Paris Saint-Germain.'
