Raphinha was not selected for Brazil's games against Ecuador and Paraguay this month so the Barcelona star decided to head to the coast with wife Natalia Rodrigues during the international break.
The couple - who married in December 2022 and welcomed their first child in May last year - documented their mini-break by sharing three holiday photos via Instagram.
Alongside the snaps, Natalia commented: 'I understand if no one understands us...'
However, that was not the only comment. Raphinha and his partner received multiple messages from trolls criticising his appearance, with some even suggesting that she was only with him for his money.
Raphinha was told to 'cut his hair', while other comments included 'what money doesn't do, you won't have to do more', 'the power of money' and 'I'm not ugly, I just don't have money'.

Former Leeds playmaker Raphinha hit back by replying to many of the comments.
His first reply read: 'Do you see money in the photo? Do you know where I come from? Do you know where she comes from?'
He then told one troll: 'Not even with money would you have this', before telling another that they would be ugly even if they were rich.
Raphinha and Natalia have known each other since 2013 but they did not become an item until 2021 after she reportedly friend-zoned him for many years.

After being born and raised in Brazil - where his father and uncle were friends with football legend Ronaldinho - Raphinha moved to Europe at the age of 19 in 2006 when he joined Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.
He later played for Sporting Lisbon, Rennes and Leeds before signing for Barca in July 2022.
Since moving to the Camp Nou, Raphinha has scored 16 goals in 68 La Liga matches.
