Ronaldo's partner was 'so relieved' when the superstar left Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo's partner revealed she was 'so relieved' when the Portuguese superstar moved to Saudi Arabia, declaring she 'really wanted to leave' Manchester.

Georgina Rodriguez, 30, began dating Ronaldo in 2016 after they met at a Gucci retail store in Madrid.

At the time, Ronaldo was nearing the end of his spell with Spanish giants Real Madrid as he eventually moved to Juventus in 2018.

The football icon lasted three seasons in Turin before he sealed an emotional return to Manchester United during the 2021 summer window.

However, it proved to be a tumultuous stint and had his contract terminated days after he gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan in which he took aim at Red Devil boss Erik ten Hag and United's upper management.

Rodriguez was delighted when Ronaldo revealed he was leaving Manchester United

Much like her partner, it seemed Rodriguez also couldn't get out of Manchester quick enough.

In the latest season of her hit Netflix reality show, 'I Am Georgina', Rodriguez revealed how elated she was once she learned Ronaldo was headed elsewhere.

'When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester,' Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez added: 'I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia'.

However, the couple and their kids' transition to life in Saudi Arabia was not smooth sailing.

'It all happened so quickly,' Rodriguez said.

'At the beginning, I had some ups and downs because we had never lived in a hotel for so long. There were days when I didn't want anyone to see me, but overall, I was very excited.'

When Ronaldo first arrived in Saudi Arabia, he and his family were put up in the swanky Kingdom Suite at the Four Seasons hotel in Riyadh.

The suite spanned two separate floors at the top of the Kingdom Tour, one of the highest buildings in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo's Kingdom Suite was one of 17 rooms at the hotel occupied by his entourage, which included other family members, friends as well as his security detail.

It is estimated Ronaldo's hotel bill for his family and entourage was over £250,000.

Since moving to Saudi Arabia in December 2022, Ronaldo has scored 63 goals from 70 games for Al-Nassr in all competitions.

Ronaldo also helped the club secure the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.
