Microsoft's Surface line is a good place to shop if you're in the market for a new laptop, especially if it's a Windows laptop that you're looking for. Those laptops don't come much more flexible and downright cool than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, a machine that effortlessly switches from being a laptop to a tablet and back again. But at its usual $3,500 asking price, it's definitely not a laptop for every budget. Thankfully, you can now pick one up with a whopping $1,000 off, which means you'll pay just $2,499 instead. Sure, it still isn't what anyone would call cheap, but it's also a lot of laptop for your money.

This particular laptop comes with plenty of high-end specs to keep developers, designers and creators happy starting with the 2.4 GHz 13th-gen Intel Core i7 14-Core CPU. That's paired with 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB SSD, while an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB of its own GDDR6 RAM handles graphics.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

But the specs only tell part of the story here, because the real fun comes from the form factor. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 sports a 14.4-inch display with a high refresh rate and touch capabilities. That makes the display perfect for use as a tablet as well as a laptop, giving this machine the kind of flexibility that other laptops just can't match.  The whole thing is powered by Windows 11 Home and you can look forward to fast Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity built in. Add the two USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports and a legacy USB-A port and you should have everything you need to get up and running.

Not sure that you need everything this laptop has to offer? Our collection of the best laptop deals around should have something for everyone.
