Tom Brady reveals what Beckham 'taught' him at Birmingham's win

Tom Brady has revealed a slither of what David Beckham 'taught' him on Monday night - but the contents are too compromising to be fully told.

The NFL and football legends got pally in the stands at Birmingham's 3-1 win over Wrexham, with Brady a minority owner at St. Andrew's.

Two goals from £15million League One record signing Jay Stansfield and a debut stunner from Tomoki Iwata were enough for Blues to draw level with Wrexham at the top of the table.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, invested in Birmingham in August 2023 and is still getting accustomed to football, having admitted he has 'a lot to learn'.

And Beckham was more than happy to teach Brady the ropes in the time-honoured tradition of football chants.

However, he said he 'can't repeat most of what was said' - perhaps due to the unsavoury nature of many chants

'Thanks for teaching me how to sing at a football match, David Beckham,' Brady, 47, wrote on Instagram, adding, 'Can't repeat most of what was said,' with a laughing face emoji.

In a star-studded link-up,Brady spent time with Hollywood actor and Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney before kick-off.

In the stands, he was also joined by Beckham's itinerant son Romeo, who has switched from football to tennis, back to football, and now fashion modelling in terms of his career.

There was also room for Birmingham's chairman Tom Wagner and Cindy, his wife.

Birmingham have huge ambitions and broke the League One spending record this summer when they spalshed £30m on signings - around 22 times more than the second biggest-spending club Peterborough, as per Transfermarkt.

Wagner's vision is to reach the Premier League by 2026 and he told Telegraph Sport of his ambition to create a Manchester-style dynamic in Birmingham, with 'two spectacular football clubs'.

Blues were last in the Premier League in the 2010-11 season, when they won the League Cup but were relegated under Alex McLeish.

Beckham's model son Romeo, who used to play for Brentford B, was also in the stands

Upon taking his 3.3 per cent stake in Birmingham City, Brady said they are 'an iconic club with so much history' and that it was a 'real honour' to join them.

He added: 'Birmingham City is built on teamwork and determination and I'm excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our second city club second to none.

'I've been part of some amazing teams in my day, and I'm looking forward to applying my perspective to create that same success here in Birmingham.'
