United reach agreement with Wan-Bissaka over exit settlement

Manchester United, on Sunday night, reached agreement with Aaron Wan Bissaka over an exit settlement to pave the way for his £15million switch to West Ham.

The right-back was scheduled to undergo a medical at 4pm on Sunday but that was postponed until Monday as United tried to reach a solution.

United have agreed the £55.8m double signing of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazroaui from Bayern Munich with both poised to travel to Manchester on Monday.

Mazroaui's move has been contingent on Wan-Bissaka's sale. United have also been offered free agent Mario Hermoso following his departure from Atletico Madrid and the club will hold another recruitment meeting today to discuss their next targets and who could yet leave with interest building in Victor Lindelof.

United remain confident of agreeing a new contract with captain Bruno Fernandes this month.

The full-back is set to join West Ham in a £15m deal, with a medical scheduled for Monday

Wan-Bissaka made 190 first-team appearances for the Red Devils and scored two goals after joining in a £50m switch from Crystal Palace in 2019.

West Ham will make him their seventh signing of a busy summer with new boss Julen Lopetegui conducted a wide-ranging overhaul of his squad.

Max Kilman, Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Guido Rodriguez all arrived in a spree worth over £100m.

United moved quickly to snap up Mazraoui as Wan-Bissaka's replacement with Bayern accepting a £17m bid - made up of £13m up front and £4m in bonuses.

The 26-year-old, who played under Erik ten Hag during his spell at Ajax, has also entered the final year of his deal at Bayern and can play at left back.

In a significant boost just a week before the start of the Premier League season, United have also reached an agreement with Bayern over Matthijs de Ligt.

The Red Devils will pay around £38m up front with £5m due in add-ons.
