Blockstream CEO Adam Back, the inventor of Hashcash, addressed persistent speculation that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Back stated it's "flattering" but attributed the rumors to his active participation in early cypherpunk discussions on electronic cash.

Speaking at the LONGITUDE event in Paris, Back also discussed the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency regulation. OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos highlighted the benefits of the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation for building trust, while cautioning that the regulatory burden could stifle innovation in Europe.

Industry leaders also touched on the need for global regulatory clarity, with discussions around the US CLARITY Act. Mastercard's Christian Rau noted that stablecoins are well-suited for payments due to their stability and increasing regulatory clarity, though challenges remain in integrating them into local financial systems.
