Aave’s DAO backed a proposal to move its V4 protocol to Ethereum mainnet, signaling broad support after weeks of tension. The proposal garnered near-unanimous support with over 645,000 votes in favor.

Aave V4 introduces a modular architecture separating liquidity from risk. Shared liquidity pools ('Hubs') provide capital, while 'Spokes' offer distinct borrowing environments with tailored risk parameters. This design supports various financial use cases, including new collateral types and structured credit markets.
The approval follows key contributors' exits, resolving governance tensions. Aave is now poised to advance this proposal through an AIP vote, paving the way for V4 activation on Ethereum.
