BNB Beacon Chain Token Recovery Enters Sunset Phase Amid Price Dip

BNB Chain has launched the sunset plan for its Beacon Chain Token Recovery Tool. Phase 1 concludes April 30, 2026.

Only BEP2 tokens mirrored as BEP20 on BNB Smart Chain are eligible. Permissionless mirroring (BEP84) is permanently disabled.

The recovery process involves five steps: token selection, BSC receiver address entry, network switch to BNB Smart Chain, a seven-day finalization window, and automatic token receipt.

Phase 2 runs May 1-June 30, 2026, with batched processing extending recovery time beyond one month. Phase 3 begins July 1, 2026, and will require manual transaction signing-details pending.

BNB price dipped 0.77% in 24 hours to $672.01, contrasting with broader crypto gains. Weekly and monthly gains remain at 3.97% and 7.02%, respectively.
