Bybit announced its AI-assisted risk monitoring system successfully blocked or disrupted over $300 million in suspected scam-related withdrawals during the fourth quarter of 2025. The system flags malicious transactions in real-time before funds can be moved.

During the quarter, Bybit's platform flagged approximately $500 million in withdrawal requests. More than 4,000 users were protected as the exchange issued alerts or blocked transactions outright. David Zong, Bybit's head of group risk control, noted that much of the $300 million total represents withdrawals voluntarily cancelled by users after receiving warnings, meaning funds remained in their accounts.

The exchange also identified 350 high-risk investment fraud addresses, shielding 8,000 users from potential losses. Additionally, Bybit thwarted over three million credential stuffing attacks throughout 2025.

The AI-driven theft prevention framework analyzes exchange data for unusual patterns, enabling the operations team to preemptively blacklist dangerous destination addresses. This technology is seen as crucial for the crypto industry to defend against rising cybercrime.
