Digital asset infrastructure firm BitGo has launched its AI-ready Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, designed to simplify how developers interact with its institutional platform.
The MCP Server enables natural language queries against BitGo’s technical documentation via an “Ask AI” feature in its Developer Portal. Currently limited to read-only functions, it cannot execute transactions, manage custody, or perform onchain operations.
CEO Mike Belshe described the launch as a strategic step toward broader automation, emphasizing AI’s growing role in reshaping how developers navigate financial infrastructure. The tool integrates with major AI platforms including Claude, ChatGPT, Visual Studio Code, JetBrains IDEs, and Windsurf through a single endpoint.
BitGo confirmed additional AI-driven features are forthcoming, though current functionality remains assistive rather than autonomous.
