Bitcoin's price saw a slight downturn Saturday after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new 15% worldwide tariff on imported goods. This action came despite a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that had invalidated earlier trade actions.

Trump, in a social media post, labeled the court's ruling "anti-American" and declared the immediate implementation of the increased tariff. The price of Bitcoin reacted swiftly, initially rising about 0.5% before losing nearly 1% of its value. The cryptocurrency is currently trading around $68,000.

The tariff hike follows closely after the Supreme Court's decision challenging Trump's prior authority on imposing such measures. This led to an initial 10% global tariff order, which has now been escalated.
