Prediction markets are getting their biggest global stage. Chainlink has been selected as the exclusive oracle infrastructure for ADI Predictstreet, the official prediction market partner of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The system uses Chainlink's Runtime Environment to automate the entire process-from bet creation to final settlement-without human intervention. It will cover all 104 matches across 48 teams and 16 host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
When a match concludes, verified FIFA data flows through Chainlink's oracle network. This triggers smart contracts to pay winners instantly, eliminating manual verification delays and disputed outcomes.
The 2026 tournament is the first with 48 teams, creating a massive new surface for prediction activity. All data is verifiable on-chain, and payout logic is encoded before kickoff, removing any platform discretion on outcomes.
For Chainlink, this is a landmark real-world use case. Increased platform usage typically drives demand for its LINK token, which secures the network. Analysts are watching for on-chain metrics like transaction counts during the tournament window.
