Cathie Wood is known for bold predictions, and her latest Bitcoin projections are no exception. The ARK Invest CEO now sees a base case of $710,000 to $762,000 per Bitcoin, with a bull case reaching $1.5 million by 2030.
Those figures come from ARK's Big Ideas 2026 report, which models Bitcoin's market capitalization hitting $16 trillion within five years. Wood recently trimmed the bull case by $300,000, citing stablecoin adoption that diverts some capital away from Bitcoin.
The thesis hinges on institutional adoption. ARK's models assume Bitcoin matures into a stable asset class with lower volatility, attracting pension funds and sovereign wealth funds-similar to gold. The spot Bitcoin ETF approvals in early 2024 opened a regulated gateway for these investors, and ARK's own ETF products stand to benefit.
Wood's prediction is less about a specific dollar figure and more about Bitcoin's transition from a speculative asset to an institutional-grade store of value. The revised target, down from $2.4 million, suggests ARK is stress-testing its assumptions against real-world developments.
