David Schwartz, the former Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, has publicly pushed back against the persistent theory that XRP could reach $10,000 per token. In a recent exchange on X, Schwartz presented a simple but powerful counter-argument based on basic market economics.
His core challenge: If any rational, wealthy investors truly believed there was even a 1% chance of XRP hitting $10,000 within a decade, they would have already bought heavily, driving the price to at least $20 today. He dismissed claims that such massive upside is being overlooked by sophisticated capital.
Schwartz also refuted the notion that Ripple itself holds a 'magic switch' to dramatically inflate the price. He stated that the company’s strategy is transparent and that no hidden mechanism exists to repurpose XRP for massive gains.
At press time, XRP was trading around $1.37.
