Synthetix founder Kain Warwick predicts AI advancements will initially spike decentralized finance (DeFi) hacks before stabilizing. He notes AI is significantly improving the identification and exploitation of software vulnerabilities, posing greater risks to Web 2.0 than Web 3.0.

Warwick also expressed concerns that Uniswap's security may be overestimated. He highlighted the trade-offs of blockchain immutability, acknowledging its benefits while pointing out its potential to create impractical risks.

Discussing MEV (Maximal Extractable Value), Warwick described it as strategically ordering transactions to maximize profit within the blockchain mempool. He praised Uniswap's design for minimizing cascading failures across its versions, noting its resilience.

Furthermore, Warwick revealed that advanced AI models are being cautiously developed with restricted access due to their immense capabilities, leading to a continuous search for cost-effective alternatives. He believes the industry's understanding of immutability has evolved, recognizing its impracticality alongside its advantages.
