MoonPay has launched Headless Onramps, a new crypto checkout platform that allows wallets, exchanges, and apps to offer one-tap crypto purchases through Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cards.
Available across the US, the European Economic Area, and in over 100 countries, the product's launch partners include Moonshot, Bitcoin.com, Bread, and Trust Wallet. MoonPay says the platform is designed to give partners a fully embedded checkout experience while it manages payment rails, compliance, and identity verification in the background.
This launch marks a shift from MoonPay's existing onramp widget, which presented a hosted checkout flow under MoonPay's brand. Headless Onramps works through an API integration, enabling partners to build a white-labeled checkout experience inside their own apps.
For verified users, Apple Pay purchases can be completed with a single tap inside a partner app, without redirects or repeated authentication. New users undergo a lightweight onboarding flow within the app, after which future purchases become frictionless.
MoonPay says the product addresses growing demand from wallets, exchanges, and crypto apps for embedded checkout flows that keep users inside their own platforms.
