North Korea's Lazarus Group has stolen $635 million from cryptocurrency protocols in April, marking one of the biggest monthly losses on record.

Nearly 95% of the losses came from just two attacks: a $285 million hack on Drift Protocol via Solana, and a $292 million theft from Kelp DAO through a LayerZero bridge on Ethereum.

The attacks have rattled market confidence. Polymarket data shows the probability of Ethereum hitting $4,000 in April has dropped to 0.4%, down from 1%. Bitcoin's chance of reaching $79,000 by April 30 now sits at 0.6%.

The ongoing exploits have also contributed to a $13 billion decline in DeFi Total Value Locked.
