Privacy Boost, a new offering from Sunnyside Labs, has launched on OP Mainnet, bringing enterprise-grade confidential transfers to the Optimism ecosystem. This certified privacy solution is designed for real-world financial applications, enabling private transfers and privacy-preserving DeFi workflows on public blockchains.

Privacy Boost keeps sensitive data hidden from the public, visible only to the sponsoring application, yet fully auditable by regulators. It utilizes a hybrid architecture combining zero-knowledge proofs for on-chain correctness with trusted execution environments for computational efficiency, achieving private transaction generation in under 500 milliseconds.

Through proof aggregation, the technology supports over 1,800 transactions per second, reducing gas costs and boosting throughput. Users maintain self-custody, with the ability to withdraw funds directly via smart contract, even if servers are offline. The product has successfully passed a security audit by OpenZeppelin.

Features include configurable policy controls like KYC-gated environments and auditable transaction views, aimed at satisfying compliance teams at regulated institutions. This launch addresses the critical gap in enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructure where the transparency of public chains poses operational, legal, and competitive risks.

Jing Wang, co-founder of OP Labs, stated, "Privacy consistently comes up as a non-negotiable requirement. Privacy Boost checked every box - performance, regulatory readiness, seamless integration, and self-custody." The offering is already being integrated into wallets, payment applications, and institutional platforms, with private DeFi features expected in May.
