With over 1.5 million downloads, Pump.fun is a widely used Solana-focused retail application. The enhancement aims to provide a lower-friction, higher-functionality trading experience, enabling users to manage a greater variety of assets without switching platforms.
The expanded asset support includes popular Solana ecosystem tokens, memecoins, WBTC, and USDC.
While the app update coincides with a slight improvement in overall crypto market sentiment, the PUMP token saw a brief increase following the announcement. Its 24-hour trading volume surged over 19%, though the token remains down 28% monthly and significantly below its peak.
