The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has granted asset manager WisdomTree approval to allow shares of its Treasury Money Market Digital Fund to trade instantly, 24/7. This move enables trading at a fixed $1 value through a dealer, independent of the fund’s end-of-day net asset value.
Previously, investors could only transact at the fund's daily NAV. The new structure utilizes blockchain technology for immediate settlement via a broker-dealer acting as principal, offering continuous liquidity while maintaining the fund's core integrity.

WisdomTree has also introduced continuous dividend accrual, crediting interest based on share ownership duration throughout the day. This feature tracks on-chain wallet activity to ensure accurate yield distribution, even with mid-day transfers.
This development significantly bolsters the growing $10 billion market for tokenized U.S. Treasuries, pioneered by firms like BlackRock and Circle. The SEC's approval positions WisdomTree among leading institutions integrating traditional financial tools onto blockchain infrastructure within current regulatory boundaries.
